The Earth Lady Offers Earth Science Presentations on Soil, Clouds, and Water

The Earth Lady provides K-12 workshops and presentations in Earth, Physical, and Life Science that focus on soil, water, watersheds, biomes, and air quality. She will also develop workshops specific to the needs of teachers and schools and work with you to develop the best and most appropriate content. Please contact us for more information.

These exciting and compelling workshops and presentations can be modified depending on the needs of teachers and students.
For example, the “Let’s Talk Clouds!” presentation can be conducted with elementary grades (K-4) where the materials will be geared towards the cognitive abilities of those students. See the Primary Cloud Chart below. It provides a compelling yet appropriate set of images that allow for comparison and learning that are relevant to students in earlier grades.

The Presentation:

  • Learn the many connections between the soil and our lives.
  • Complete a fascinating learning activity on how soil filters water with “Just Passing Through” where students predict which soil will filter the fastest and cleanest water.
  • See and feel the many colors and textures of the soil with hands-on learning activities in soil color, structure, and texture.
