Author, Activist, and Attorney Monica Harris on How To Bridge the Divide In the USA

IMG_0349.jpegMonica Harris graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Law School. She was a business affairs executive in the entertainment industry. She enjoyed the money and perks that many think accompany “success.”

But nine years ago, she had an epiphany. She realized that she was making more money each year, yet struggling to maintain her lifestyle. She was working harder at a job she could lose in a “restructuring.”and spending less time with her family.

She also realized The world was changing in ways that weren’t making her life better.

And no matter who was elected or what they promised, the problems kept getting worse.

She realized she was pretending that she lived in a world that still made sense. And then she decided to stop pretending.

In 2011, she and her partner moved their family to Montana to pursue a more sustainable lifestyle.

She still practices law. But when she looks up from her desk, she sees Douglas firs, white-tailed deer, and the occasional moose.

Free from the city grind, she sees the illusions that trap us all in a distorted reality and convinces us that we live in a world we don’t really live in.

It took her nearly forty years to unplug, but she’s hoping that together we can do it a lot faster.
