Izolda with guitar and violin

Born in Moldova in the former Soviet Union, I have been singing since before I can remember. I sang folk music with my professional vocalist mother and began study of classical violin at age five. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in English Drama.

I perform as a soloist on voice, guitar, fiddle, flute, recorder.

I am also the leader of the a cappella holiday caroling group, The Philosopher’s Tones,

In 2011, I formed Open Fifth with stellar pianist Valerie Higgs. Together, we perform at colleges, universities, and at private and corporate events.

I’m a pirate wench at a Pirate Feast for charity.
