Avigail_headshot8sby2.jpgAvigail Gimpel had six children in eleven years. She discovered that her children were struggling. She realized that her children were struggling and healthy and she didn’t understand why.

So, she embarked on a journey of discovery that she detailed in her book, “Hyperhealing, The empowered parents’ complete guide to raising a healthy child with ADHD symptoms.”

She kept asking questions like Why are seemingly healthy children doing so poorly socially, academically and emotionally? Why are very bright children failing? The books she read either pathologized children or suggested one specific cause of ADHD symptoms and offered helpful yet incomplete advice. She was left with a choice, rely on pharmaceutical interventions, pay for expensive coaching or educational assistance, or develop a program of her own. So, as a teacher, college lecturer, and, by now, a weathered mom, she set out to write the manual. She now teaches at Hertzog College, has a private practice to treat people struggling with ADHD symptoms, and runs seminars and lectures to help teachers and principals learn about how to work with and address these issues. She, her husband Daniel, and their six children live in Israel.
