Shoshana Levin Fox, EdD, is a Jerusalem-based child psychologist, play therapist and autism specialist. At the world-renowned Feuerstein Institute between 1992 and 2017, she found that conventional autism assessment methods overlooked underlying causes and disregarded the children’s strengths. Inspired by the work of Professor Feuerstein and DIRFloortime originators, Drs. Wieder and Greenspan, she decided to apply creative, interactive methods of assessing and treating children considered autistic, The dramatically positive results of this unconventional clinical approach impelled her to write the recently- published An Autism Casebook for Parents and Practitioners: The Child Behind the Symptoms. Shoshana has received many academic awards, including a SSHRC Post-Doctoral Fellowship. She has shared her wealth of experience in autism in numerous publications and conference presentations worldwide.
