How to get your head around marketing your creative work
A tough love episode on selling without feeling slimy.
As I figure out my entrepreneurial path, I learn things and make marvelous mistakes. My latest lesson is about my new company, Creative Earthlings Media. I am helping authors and podcasters who want to write books and make podcasts to change the world.
It’s a creation like a song or a painting, but I’ve found that it’s much easier for me to talk about than my artistic creations. Why? Because I’m being of service to others’ creations instead of exhibiting my own. And I’ve had to get over myself because if you’re going to be a creator, you’re going to have to talk about your creations.
Unless you want to sit in your bedroom and create and never show your stuff to anyone, you’ll have to talk about it. But how? How do you talk about it and dare I say promote or sell it without feeling slimy?
In this episode, I discuss what I’ve figured out and put to good use to make sure that I talk about my creations with love and truth. And guess, what? I don’t feel slimy at all!
