Sometimes, you just get lucky. Such was the case with this image. I was walking out of a restaurant and saw this stunning moment. It brings me peace and a sense of awe every time I look at it because we can find beauty in the most unlikely places. We just need to stay open to it.
I took this photo right before dawn during a writing retreat in West Virginia, USA. My husband, good friend, and I would rent a house in the mountains and spend a weekend creating.
