Fire Imbalance Description
Please note: These Designations are general descriptions of personality types.
If you have a Fire Imbalance, this means your natural active, passionate, and sometimes-impulsive manner has dipped into too great a dependence on Fire characteristics. For example, rather than being on the go and sometimes leaping before you look, you appear to be in constant motion with hardly any time for repose or calm. In other words, the very passionate, fiery nature that describes a Fire Designation can become the frenetic pace and obsessive nature of a Fire Imbalance.
Instead of simply having a zest for life, a Fire Imbalance person can become obsessively in need of new challenges and stimulation. Instead of simply being willing to take risks, a Fire Imbalance person can be reckless and rash. These people have trouble being still, and often find themselves jumpy if there is no new, grand adventure to be had. They can focus their lives on passionate/sexual conquests rather than on potentially more meaningful, stable relationships.
Fire Imbalance people might have a bad temper, and might not show good judgment about when to show that temper. They can be daredevils in their approach to life, and will make things happen on their own terms, whether or not those things are appropriate.
Their love for adventure can easily become a reluctance or inability to be still. It can become a compulsive need to have excitement in their lives, and they make a habit of leaping before they look.
To mitigate a Fire Imbalance, please see Life Elements, chapter 10.
