How to Provide for Your Plant-based Attendees at Meetings and Events.

meeting planning event planning vegan plant basedPeople are embracing plant-based diets. And that’s changing how events and meetings are run. If you know you’ll have plant-based attendees, how will you provide for your plant-based attendees to make your meeting successful and give all your attendees a delicious and healthy meal? And which are the best options? Is just vegetarian OK or does it have to be entirely vegan? (Hint: go vegan to cover your bases.)

Some ideas:

1. Having a veggie plate with ranch dressing? Offer a hummus dip, too.

2. Having bagels and cream cheese? Offer a plant-based cream-cheese option like Follow Your Heart (no affiliation – just tasty.)

3. Yogurts have vegan alternatives like So Delicious (no affiliation).

4. Having a local restaurant cater the event? Ask for their alternative (and encourage them to get one if they don’t yet).

5. Some meat alternatives: tofu or seitan, Beyond or Impossible meats.

Something to remember, these vegan options are tempting and appetizing to non-vegans. Get a few extra vegan items so they aren’t all gone before the plant-based folks can pick them up.
