Work on what matters to you, and you’ll never get bored.

What’s funny about that statement? It’s true. If you feel you have a mission in this life, you never get bored. You never run out of thoughts and ideas about it. So, the best thing to do is focus on it.

You remain excited. You generate new ideas. And you dig deeper into your topic to become the expert in it. People love experts who can actually deliver the goods.

Be that expert, and you’ll gain clients and customers. And the best part is that you’ll be thrilled because you’re doing the thing you already loved to do to begin with.

How I Never Get Bored

I love the act of creating. The sizzle of the creative process excites me. The spark of an idea, the lightning fast grasp of a possibility – that’s how the greatest minds make their leaps and bounds. And helping other people find their own sizzle fills me with joy. So, I dedicate my life to how we can use our brain, time, and focus to find our creative genius and use it to reach goals. 

As you might guess, I never get bored. 

What fills you with sizzle? How are you focusing on what matters to you? And if you aren’t, what can you do to start?

And I get it. You might not have the resources to do only the work you love. You’ve got to pay bills and take care of yourself and your family. So, you might not be able to just focus on coin collecting, knitting, or rock climbing. If that’s the case, here’s another way to start.

Find what you can love about what you’re doing. It’s not easy but it’s worth it. Let’s say you’re an accountant who always wanted to be an ice skater. Can you shift your client-base to athletes who work on the ice? Or at least, perhaps you can take a few new clients on. Who does the accounting for your local rink? Do you know? Perhaps, it’s time to pay them a visit and see if they want to make a change.
