If you’re older and you want to be an employee in a company, the key is to change the perceptions of potential employers who often still operate in the “hire them young” paradigm. 

An older employee will have more maturity, wisdom, and experience. They’ll be an asset to your team if you give them a shot. But many don’t. That’s one of the reasons so many people in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s are reinventing themselves and starting their own businesses. If no one will hire you, hire yourself. That’s a great path to success. 

You’ll need to figure out whether or not you are a freelancer, consultant, or Entrepreneur (yes, they’re all different). But once you do, you’ll shine.
