Want it? Go get it!

Today’s Show Up! Journal power words: I’m not trying to be flippant. It’s really the way I feel today. At last night’s Hood College “Tell Better Stories,” workshop, a number of the students were concerned about having to make peace with doing jobs they disliked. 

And I said, “I realize that there are economic concerns. Sometimes, we are stuck doing a job we dislike for some reason or another. And yet, while we’re doing that job, we can be looking, every day, for something we want to do, for something that will make us happy.” I really believe that if we want it badly enough, we can figure out a way to get it. It will take time. It will take sacrifice. It will take dedication. It might take years, but we can do it. So if you want it, go and get you some.
